About the Role

ABOUT OPEX: OPEX Healthcare Solutions (opex.africa) is a Kenya-based, 100% remote healthcare management consultancy dedicated to transforming how small and mid-size healthcare facilities across East Africa operate, manage people, and grow. We bring a rare insider expertise to every client engagement. Our solutions span four pillars: management consulting, a healthcare talent network, purpose-built technology products (OPEX HRIS and OPEX Analytics), and professional learning through OPEX Learn. We are now entering an exciting commercial growth phase and seeking a high-energy telesales professional to help us connect with the healthcare facilities that need us most.

ABOUT THE ROLE : As OPEX's Telesales Agent, you will be the first voice our prospective clients hear. You will work from a structured, pre-built outreach cadence to identify, qualify, and nurture healthcare facility decision-makers - clinic owners, hospital administrators, and healthcare HR leads - converting pipeline into booked demos and closed engagements. This role is commission-heavy by design: we believe great salespeople should earn great income.

BENEFITS: Monthly Retainer - KES 10,000 | Demo Booking Fee - KES 500 per qualified demo | Demo Presentation Fee - KES 500 per Presentation | Closed Deal Commission - 10% of Month 1 payment only | Retention Bonus - KES 2,000 per client that reaches Month 6 | Transport & Airtime Allowance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute outbound call campaigns targeting clinic owners, hospital administrators, NGO health programme managers, and corporate HR departments across Nairobi and greater Kenya.
  • Follow the OPEX multi-touch outreach cadence (email + call + follow-up) to maximize connection rates and move prospects through the pipeline.
  • Qualify leads against defined Ideal Client Profiles (ICPs): facility size, staff headcount, current HR/operations pain points, and budget readiness.
  • Book qualified product demonstrations for OPEX HRIS and OPEX Analytics with the CEO/product lead.
  • Maintain a clean, up-to-date CRM record of all prospect interactions, statuses, and follow-up notes.
  • Provide weekly pipeline reports: calls made, demos booked, objections encountered, and market intelligence gathered.
  • Actively listen for upsell opportunities - e.g. clients using HRIS who could benefit from OPEX Learn or consulting.
  • Represent the OPEX brand with professionalism, clarity, and genuine passion for improving healthcare operations.
Requirements
  • Minimum 1–2 years of proven telesales, inside sales, or business development experience in a B2B context.
  • Demonstrable track record of meeting or exceeding call targets and demo/appointment booking quotas.
  • Strong verbal communication skills in English; Kiswahili fluency is an added advantage for engaging county-level facility administrators
  • Comfortable navigating gatekeepers and reaching C-suite / senior management decision-makers by phone.
  • Self-motivated and disciplined in a remote/independent working environment.
  • Basic digital literacy: ability to manage a contact list, update a CRM or spreadsheet, and communicate via email and WhatsApp professionally.
  • A Certificate or Diploma in Sales, Business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Nice to Have
  • Prior experience selling to healthcare facilities, hospitals, clinics, NGO health programmes, or pharmaceutical/diagnostics companies in Kenya or East Africa.
  • Familiarity with SaaS product concepts — ability to explain what an HRIS or analytics platform does in plain language to a non-technical healthcare manager.
  • Existing network or contacts within private healthcare facilities, faith-based hospitals, or corporate wellness departments in Kenya.
  • Experience using CRM tools (even basic ones like Google Sheets CRM, HubSpot Free, or Zoho).
  • Background or academic training in healthcare, nursing, clinical management, or health administration — you understand our clients because you've worked alongside them.
  • Exposure to LinkedIn-based outreach as a complement to phone and email campaigns.
